What personal data we collect and why

Contact form submissions

When you submit the contact form on this website, Larkon collects the name, email address, and message content you provide. This data is used solely to respond to your enquiry. It is not added to any mailing list, sold to third parties, or used for profiling.

The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — the processing is necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into a relationship, or to respond to your enquiry as requested.

Technical usage data

When you visit larkon.info, our web hosting infrastructure automatically records standard access log data. This includes: your IP address (anonymised after 24 hours), browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is collected for security and performance purposes only and is not used to identify individual visitors.

The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest of maintaining a secure and properly functioning website.

Cookies and tracking technologies

This site uses cookies to support basic functionality and to understand how visitors interact with the content. A full description of the cookies used, their purpose, and your options for managing them is provided in the Cookie Policy.

Where non-essential cookies are used, the legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you may withdraw at any time via the Cookie Settings link in the footer.

How long we keep data and who can access it

Retention periods

Contact form submissions are retained for a maximum of 12 months from the date of receipt, after which they are permanently deleted from our systems. Server access logs are retained for a maximum of 90 days. Cookie consent records are retained for 13 months from the date of consent.

Data will be deleted sooner if you submit a valid erasure request (see Section 04 — Your Rights, below).

  • Analytics providers whose cookies you have accepted, limited to anonymised interaction data. See the Cookie Policy for details.
  • Law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required by binding legal obligation, and only to the extent required by applicable law.

All third-party data processors engaged by Larkon maintain processing activities within the European Economic Area or operate under appropriate transfer safeguards as required by Chapter V GDPR.
